Sleeping Dogs is an acoustic based band playing all original material, written by Mike Soanes. The style of music is hard to categorise as it encapsulates blues, jazz, soul, folk and world music within a distinctive instrumental line-up and a strong emphasis on songwriting. It has played prestigious North-east venues such as Caedmon Hall and the Sage Gateshead and now has a recent CD available which can be sampled at www.facebook.com/Sleepingdogs1.

Helen Forster : Cello and vocals

Steve Forster : Percussion

Alan O’Neil : bass

Janet Longbottom: Trombone

Emma Scott : Alto Sax and vocals

David Gold: Trumpet
